During this phase of the semester we started off individually. On our own we had come up with an innovative fashion concept to solve a problem. The whole semester was dedicated to sustainability. Not only our concept had to be sustainable, but also the way we worked on the project. After finding an interesting topic and doing in-depth research with a partner we came together in groups. Within the group we had to choose the best idea and in one week make this into a coherent concept. We chose the concept I had worked on. The purpose of this concept was to reduce stock and make sustainability cool. We created a store where people could paint their own garment in a colour of their choosing. This way we would reduce stock by not selling garments in colours that wouldn’t be sold. Next to this we would educate our costumer about sustainability in a subtle way. The huge white store would reflect as a new beginning to the fashion industry. It would attract the costumer by the experience the store offered. We had to present all of our research and make a report. From this point we had to finalize the whole concept in the next phase.
